Kellie Guarino appointed to new Jackson Laboratory organizational development post

Bar Harbor, Maine – The Jackson Laboratory has hired Kellie Guarino to a newly created position, director of organizational development and learning.
This position will help advance the Laboratory's mission and strategic plan through employee training, mentoring, performance management and succession planning.
Guarino will report to the Laboratory’s senior director for human resources, health and safety, Clare Tully. "The Jackson Laboratory’s greatest asset is its almost 1,500 employees, from its animal room technicians to its scientists," Tully says. "Kellie’s expertise and passion for identifying and developing talent within both the non-profit and private sectors will prove invaluable as The Jackson Laboratory undergoes rapid growth and change in pursuit of its ambitious mission and vision."
Guarino joins the nonprofit research institution after 11 years at Cianbro Industries in Pittsfield, Maine, where her last position was organizational development manager. Her prior experience includes nine years at the Maine Development Foundation, where she rose from college intern to program director. She earned a B.S. in management information systems and an M.B.A., both at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine.
