The National Council
The Jackson Laboratory is deeply engaged in research, and people here are passionate about discovery and the promise it holds to improve health in their communities. The National Council shares this passion and serves as the primary organization carrying the Laboratory's message of hope current and future supporters.
Comprising The Jackson Laboratory's most influential group of friends, supporters and advocates, The National Council has three goals:
- Educate Council members and the public about human disease and health.
- Engage members of the Council with Laboratory scientists and staff.
- Empower the Laboratory through volunteer service and philanthropic support.
There are two forms of affiliation with The National Council:
-
All those who make gifts to the Laboratory are considered to be supporters of The National Council.
-
Those who give most generously ($1,000 per year or more) and who provide service to the cause are granted membership.
