C57BL/6J-TgN(S100b)5.12Rhr (JR002260)
TgN(S100b)5.12Rhr mice are transgenics with ~12 copies of the mouse S100 neural peptide beta gene, S100b. The transgene is expressed in a cell-type specific pattern in brain, resulting in astrocytosis and axonal proliferation in the hippocampus and cerebellum. Dendritic development is abnormal.
