Interdisciplinary Approaches to Alström Syndrome: First International Conference
Physicians and researchers from six countries attended the conference, held at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, USA, which addressed a wide range of subjects from genetics and ophthalmology to cardiology and endocrinology.
The purpose was to bring together clinicians and basic scientists to share their knowledge and to move forward more quickly through cooperation and collaboration. Greater progress can be made when people from different disciplines work together. Interactive collaborations will enable us to achieve our goal faster - to develop new therapies for Alström Syndrome.
