Summer Visitor Program and Tours of The Jackson Laboratory

Summer Visitor Program:
The Summer Visitor Program at The Jackson Laboratory is held on the following Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the auditorium, and provides a general introduction to the Laboratory’s mission, history and research. Each visit will feature a presentation from a Jackson Laboratory scientist about his or her work and career path in research. The visits are 45 minutes long and have a maximum capacity of 150 people.

Pre-registration is required.

2015 summer visitor dates: June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, August 7, August 14, August 28, September 4, September 11, September 18, September 25

Summer Tour Series:
The Summer Tour Series at The Jackson Laboratory provides a general introduction to the Laboratory’s mission, history and research. Tours are held on the following Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and last about one hour, and involve walking, stair climbing and standing. There will be a brief tour stop where our visitors will get to hear from one of our scientists about his or her research. (JAX Mice are maintained in special, environmentally controlled facilities and are not featured on the tour.)  Maximum capacity is 15 people. Children under 12 are not permitted on our walking tours, but may participate in our visitor program outlined above.
