Postdoc opportunities

The foundation of our training program is a one-to-one relationship beween a trainee and their sponsor.

In addition to one-on-one training, postdoctoral trainees at the Laboratory are expected to:

  • Attend ethics workshops
  • Present their results at the in-house interest groups
  • Travel to scientific meetings
  • Apply for fellowship grants
  • Publish their results
  • Participate in the seminar, meeting, course and workshop programs

Currently, over 50 postdoctoral associates are training at the Jackson Laboratory.

The Jackson Laboratory’s postdoctoral program is supported by T32 grants from the NIH and a special training program for Veterinarians is also available. Stipend levels, regardless of the funding source, is based on the NIH schedule. Health benefits are provided by the Lab
